Get Rid Of Acne With These Home Remedies

By Nicholas Lancaster

Curing acne isn't an exact science. What works for one person may not work for the next person. Should you go see a dermatologist or try home remedies for acne? Make an appointment with a dermatologist if acne is severe but if your skin isn't that bad, then consider trying a few home remedies. Many home remedies are just as effective as store bought products and some maybe even more effective. The home remedies covered below are proven to work but do not necessarily work for everyone.

The why your skin looks could be directly related to the types of fat you are eating. The dietary fats you consume can be both healthy and unhealthy. Unhealthy fats could lead to severe acne breakouts, while healthy fats may help your skin clear up. Unhealthy fats are a big contributor to bad skin. Hydrogenated fats should be cut back as much as possible. Saturated fats, the type from animal products, such as meats, cheese, and milk, should be cut back. Healthy fats may be consumed in moderation. Some of these healthy fats are found in foods such as: Fish, olive oil, and flax seeds. Avoid cooking things with vegetable oils, these oils should be eliminated as much as possible.

Here's a home remedy for acne breakouts many people swear by, lemon juice. L-ascorbic acid is a substance found in Lemons. The L-ascorbic acid fights off bacteria and cleanses the pores. If you read labels on acne products, you will see L-ascorbic acid is often on the list. Now you won't have to spend money on expensive acne creams and solutions. Get the same power to fight acne breakouts as your favorite acne products in a lemon! Before you go to bed, lemon juice is applied directly to the face using a cotton ball or cotton pad. The juice is left on the face while you sleep. When you wake up in the morning, wash the lemon juice off your face. The best type of lemon juice to use is fresh squeezed. Cut open a lemon, squeeze the juice into a bowl, and then apply to the face. Do you have sensitive skin? If so, then try diluting the juice with some water.

Have you heard exposing acne breakouts to the sun will cure the acne for good? Like many people, you may have tried this method only to find it doesn't really work. Acne may be less noticeable after laying out in the sun. This happens because your skin turns either darker or a little more reddish in tone. The acne isn't cured, it's just less obvious. Sun exposure could also cause acne breakouts! Prolonged exposure to the sun could in fact make your skin condition much worse. If you are otherwise healthy, it's very healthy to get some sunshine on your skin, and it feels good. So to wrap it up, sunshine is not an acne cure, so do not sun bath for hours and hours in hopes of curing your acne problems.

Everyone has different skin types and not all acne cures work for everyone. You won't have to live with acne breakouts the rest of your life, keep looking for solutions and you will find the cure for your acne. Eventually you will find the answer to your skin problems. Stay optimistic and search until you find the solution. It is important to give each remedy time to work before moving onto the next home remedy. Whenever you try a new home remedy for acne, give it a full try for a minimum of two full weeks. After two weeks, then do an evaluation and see if there is any noticeable improvement.
