Every girl, unless you’re a part of the .001 percent of the population who is naturally perfectly perfect, has had that "there is no fucking way this thing is right” moment. Sadly, the truth is that the number you see is real. Your scale isn't broken. Your necklace doesn’t weigh that much and neither does the clip holding up your hair.
Next time this happens, instead of making excuses as to why you’re about a string-cheese away from fattie-ville, stop and think. Ask yourself, “Why am I fat?” From there, make a real change that you can stick with. For instance, instead of giving up carbs for the rest of the year, stop eating bread after 2 p.m.
At the end of the day, if you lay off the breadbasket for a week, you’re gonna be skinny for a couple days. But, the moment you reach for ANY carb, all the weight plus a little extra is going to come back. Don’t embarrass yourself with extreme dieting. Instead, make small, consistent, realistic changes and you won’t have a panic attack the next time you step on the scale.
So skinny. So rich. So happy.
